Julien Vaneenoo, called 'Mr. Brive' because he wins 2 times after each other the regional race, lives in the Bedelfstraat 11 in Wingene.
He is a retired industrial (72 years old) in the middle of his complex, he enjoyed the pigeon sport.
He learned the job from his father. But in 1963 Julien started on independent way to race with pigeons. In the beginning was that with the youngsters. In the mean time he married and he starts to race with the old pigeons. It was in 1969. He built some new lofts in the middle of build wharf. This was the big start.

In the beginning of the 80's he start with the long distance. And the results went at that time better and better, in that way and in such a short time they have to count this loft with the top of the long distance lofts in the national pigeon sport.
With the turn of the century his sons, Bart and Johan started also with the taking care of the pigeons. And through the helps of the loft managers Pol Schoonbaert and Marcel Moeykens, Julien Vaneenoo went to the top already several years and he stay there too and this moment he is one of the best top lofts on the long distance in Belgium.
In fact regional as provincial he's every time there. But national and international he knows to stay at the top.
To race several years the top on big and strong long distance races and to win the top classify on national championships, Julien Vaneenoo get the honour and famous till far over the Belgium borders.
To win the 1 National Brive in 1993 against 6.913 pigeons and to get the 1 national Cahors in 1999 against 13.092 pigeons, is also recognised by the foreigner.
This moment there are 5 sons of 'De Moore' 303709 96 (1 Nat. Cahors) in the racing team, all the won their prizes.
But Julien refused to sale his national winners and also the 1 Nat. Beziers shall stay in the loft in Wingene.
Many lofts, many possibilities are the way to work of Mr. Vaneenoo. He has about 100 widowhoods. They train about 2 times a day, not with the flag, but with closed windows, they have to train about 1 hour. The breeding pigeons a big runs and he buy every year 400 rings.
Before every important race the vet comes and visits him and do the examination by him at home. Out of the case this is for to be sure and makes you calm and they can trust on all the possibilities and to be able do for the basketing pigeons.
Julien Vaneenoo is doing well with grand grand children from the strain of Urbain Duguggroy, paired up with some Florizoone and Comijn and Denijs pigeons. The bright spot are the portions of the Gyselbrecht pigeons (out of the Laureaat Barcelona). Also the round of youngsters Mr. Vaneenoo bought with Mr. Noel Lippens he have a lot of respect.

  The winning pigeon :
"Doren" 3181206 02 : 1 Nat. Beziers yearling (861 kilometer) and also the most fastest of 11.166 pigeons (1.284 meter/min) came back and clocked at 18h43
A mealy cock, Molenaar, perfect body, strong bone, nervous type, a seldom yellow eye and silky feather and a wing like the book. He won as youngster prize on Clermont and Blois, in 2003 he flew 2 times prize on Chateauroux and after he get the victory on Beziers.
Also the pedigree of the "Cherniatinsky" 3125513 01 you can study. This pigeon flew 40 minutes in advance from St Vincent, Interprovincial together with France of about 3.000 pigeons.

Conclusion :
Julien Vaneenoo of Wingene got a very nice season 2003. As one of the last "Flandriens" he won a lot of honour prizes and different championships beside his name …. But he never had a National Ace Pigeon Long Distance … And this is the reason of the fact that his pigeons not get the chance to do it …. They fly Potiers and 2 more long distance races.
Many fanciers would get that 3rd long distance race … but most of the best pigeons not come back from the battlefield of honour …and infact "a lot of them are called …but less are elect"
