Bourges National 2003, old pigeons, Jean-Luc Bar (Arlon)

  The national race of Bourges, was a very big success. More then 7.000 pigeons more then the year before and total 73.730 pigeons (devided as 16.244 yearlings, 12.546 old and 44.970 youngsters) liberated at 11h45 am, with a delay of 1 day through the bad weather. The arrival times were slowly what suspect as under the way they had thunder clouds and heavy wind. And also a very strong South West wind, was the reason that the pigeons were at the east side of the country. Conclusion : the number 1 with the old and with the youngsters 2003 was in the area of Arlon (Luxembourg) and this on 3 kilometres from each other.
  With the old pigeons was it Jean Luc Bar (Arlon) the winner has the start of. His pigeons lost 6 - 7 minutes to get inside. If not, he has more start of.
With our visit we were very surprised. We could not believe it that on these lofts, only a few meter by a few meter big, under a bridge, where over a big road runs direction Martelange, that here a national winner can live.
And it is like that … Jean Luc was out, probably for lunch with wife and child, when he came outside with a pigeon in the hand which was the national winner of Bourges old pigeons. For the safety he locked the pigeon up in the house together with the dog as regular guard in his area.
  'De Bourges' 7008134 00 wins not only with the old pigeons but is also the most fast pigeons of the total race (almost 74.000 pigeons)

He lives on a distance of 383,868 km from Bourges and his pigeon made a speed of 1.332,88 meter/min. The winner was strong motivated.
The loft accommodation is mini but inside you find a very good climate and the dry dung method takes cares for that the pigeons feel good. They shine as peacock. You can not believe it …
