André Erregat, 69 years,
is already pigeon fancier since his childhood.
The Argenton winner in the category "young
pigeons" lives in Maarkedal, a place where
many champions are living. This village, not
far from Renaix, has many national winners; Botteldoorn
(Pau), Opsomer (Barcelona), De Keyser and Van
Roy, al three in the 4 first of the official
championship K.B.D.B. Big Fond 2001.
The colony of Erregat is based for 75 % on "Carteus".
André won the 5th of Lourdes. His most
beautiful result was on Narbonne, where he raced
2 pigeons and the first pigeon came in 19 seconds
before the second one… they won the 19th
and the 23rd national. André Erregat succeeded
also well with pigeons from the breeding station "NATURAL" from
the line Vanhee and Janssen. The grand-father
along fathers side of the Argenton winner comes
from a Janssen pigeon (NATURAL) crossed with
a Carteus pigeon.
The Argenton-winner of the young pigeons,
ring number 4308133/02 - is a very beautiful
blue
hen in a great condition. She was raced (marked)
as last pigeon (from 10 raced pigeons) because
she would not couple with a cock. She defended
well her plank (territory) in the loft. She
had to have another motivation that her
owner not
saw.
7 pigeons won a prize from the 10 young birds
who where raced.
